Bizen yunomi by Shibuta Toshiaki (Bizen-210)

The grainy texture of this tall yunomi is the result of mixing small stone particles into the clay. As the clay shrinks during firing, the particles are exposed leaving the impression of having burst through the surface. This is known as "ishihaze".
