This classic teapot features cut out "windows" embellished with carefully engraved cherry blossoms. Layers of clay have been scraped away around the edges of the windows to reveal the red shudei beneath. The cherry blossoms sit on a background of finely engraved lines which add dimension and make an interesting contrast between the engraved panels and the smooth body of the teapot.
