Shigaraki Okegata guinomi sake cup #59 by Watanabe Aiko

This Iga guinomi sake cup has an okegata (bucket-shaped) form with natural ash glaze deposits and scattered ishihaze stone fragments across the wood-fired surface.
Watanabe Aiko calls wood-fired cups with earthy texture Shigaraki guinomi, even though these are fired in Iga. Iga and Shigaraki are geographically very close and share similar characteristics.
