Teppachigata Oni-arare pattern Tetsubin kettle by Kunzan 1.8L
Crafted by the third generation traditional craftsman Kunzan, Mr. Sasaki Kazuo and his team. He is known for his
mastery of traditional techniques coupled with imaginative new innovations. The pattern of large "hobnails" on the top half of the kettle is very powerful and arresting, giving a strong image.
This kettle has been specially treated by steam baking for 30-40
minutes, an oxidization process which improves its rust proof qualities.
Despite this, care should always be taken to empty the kettle thoroughly
after each use.
The handle is fixed in place and cannot be folded down.
