Kyoyaki hydrangea mug from Bunsen kiln

Very light, delicate mug with a charming twisted handle. The body has thin vertical lines scraped on the sides which create an interesting texture and contrast well with the horizontal stripes on the oatmeal background. The glaze has an uneven finish with small dents and bumps which add to the rustic quality, echoed by the naive raised design of pink hydrangeas.The softly fluted rim gives the mug a lovely, feminine feel.
