Shigaraki Kinose Clay houhin by Onishi Satoki #16

Crafted using distinctive Kinose clay, this teapot reflects the rich tradition of Shigaraki pottery. The interior is lightly glazed.

Due to the strong firing, the lid of wood-fired teapots tends to have a looser fit. However, this does not affect their function when used in the traditional way—pressing the knob down with the forefinger while pouring tea ensures smooth and steady use.
