Mogake round teapot - left-handed (Small) by Hokujo

Mogake is a traditional technique consisting of applying seaweed on unglazed teapots before firing. The salt from seaweed oxidizes with the clay during the firing and unique marks are made on the pot surfaces as seen on the photos above.
