Vintage mogake teapots by Yusen I
An unused set in mint condition from a tea vendor's private collection.
This is a set of two teapots.
Yusen I (born in 1913) was a pioneering Tokoname potter who developed innovative tea ware techniques,
particularly in nerikomi. He is known for creating intricate patterns through cutting and wheel work.
In his later years, he focused on traditional Tokoname effects such as hidasuki and mogake.
Handcrafted in Tokoname, Japan by traditional craftsman Yusen I, a father of Yusen II
Comes in a signed wooden box. * The box is aged.
