Daruma is the founder of Zen and dolls made in his image are often found for sale in temples. Daruma dolls are regarded as a symbol of hope and are popularly displayed in Japanese homes. This cup is originally made for drinking shochu, but this is also suitable for drinking tea. The cup has an unique shape and is asymmetrical.
