Situated in the porcelain producing area of Arita in Saga Prefecture, Kizan kiln specializes in sansui sometsuke (blue and white)designs, as well as sukashibori (openwork) incense pots and brush holders for calligraphy. As the kiln has only one craftsman, production is limited, but each piece is infused with the artist’s spirit and careful attention to detail.
