Hand-painted Sometsuke Sakazuki, inspired by a print by Utagawa Kuniteru II
Inspired by the nishiki-e woodblock print “Sōshū Chōshi Minato Lighthouse” by Utagawa Kuniteru II,
this elegant flat sake cup features Inubosaki Lighthouse rendered in classic sometsuke blue.
Warabi Kobo have added a touch of whimsy by painting Choshi’s Inubosaki Lighthouse in such a way that it’s true majesty is only revealed when the cup is tilted to a 45-degree angle to drink.
