A light teacup decorated with a sometsuke band of the classic "sansui" pattern from the noted Ichiraku kiln. The interior is pure white, graced with a simple double band of blue around the rim. The lower body of the cup is manually scraped by a skilled craftsman, making it easy to hold in the hand.
