Handpainted Nandina tapestry by Naka Sachimi

This simple, yet eye-catching tapestry with its hand-painted design is particularly suited to being displayed over the New Year period. The Nandina plant is considered a lucky plant in Japan because an alternative reading of its name can be read as "bad fortune overturned", making this it a suitable subject for the Japanese holiday season.
